Making Valentines…

… is how we spent our morning today, because it’s insanely cute to find a homemade valentine’s card in your school cubby. Especially if you happen to be no older than five years old.

Grabby and Mei found a store bought Valentine’s cards in their cubby yesterday, it had a Glasses-Wearing- Justin-Beiber photo inside saying be mine. It was slightly disturbing I must confess. We are assuming the parents went to the store with their four year old girl while she picked out those cards.

“Sweetie, are you sure these are the ones you want to get for your friends?”

“Yes!”

“How about these? they have Dora on them, we think your friends would prefer a Dora card?”

“No!”

(thinking to themselves, let’s just save our energy for bedtime)

“Agreed! Justine Beiber wins”

“Mom, I’m going to draw “L” a boy with glasses on her Valentines, ’cause that’s what she likes”

“Umm- Kay!”

My video skills are highly questionable, still I decided to make a video of our morning. Mei found it easier to make the cards on the floor as opposed to our cluttered table, at some point in the video she noticed that I was filming her, she paused for a while, hesitated to take the next card, then broke into giggles and started hiding. The sequence is incorrect because I shot tiny clips and edited to remove any faces from the frames. Also the audio is replaced with a love song to stay true to the theme.

Here it is:

Peace.
